(2 Year Olds - Must be 2 by December 1st)
In this 30 minute class, children will learn their basic tap and ballet vocabulary while dancing to familiar songs with the use of props. They will perform a tap routine in our year end recital.
(3 & 4 year olds - Must be 3 by December 1st)
In this 45 minute class your child will be continue building onto the fundamentals and vocabulary of tap, ballet and stretching. They will perform a tap dance in our year end recital.
(5 & 6 year olds - Must be 5 by December 1st)
In this 1 hour class, we will continue to expand our tap, ballet, and stretching knowledge while also welcoming the style of jazz. Students in this class will perform a jazz and ballet dance in our year end recital at the cost of only one costume.
In this 45 minute to 1 hour class, students will learn different tumbling and floor gymnastic skills while on a padded mat. Their recital performance will consist of tumbling mixed with dance movements.
Students will learn to use their feet and ankles to master sounds, rhythms and timing with music.
Classes will consist of stretching, center and across the floor technique, as well as traditional jazz dance combinations.
Through ballet, students will gain the strength and basis needed for all genres of dance. Classes will consist of barre work, center and across the floor work as well as adagio.
Students will be able to have fun and let loose while dancing to today's popular music in this class. Each class will start with a cardio warm up.
Students will be able to express themselves through song lyrics with movements that may be slow and flowy or sharp and hard hitting.
This 1 to 1.5 hour class is designed to further the students education and strength in technical abilities and proper execution of them. This is a technique class only and does not participate in our recital.
Our competition teams are compromised of multiple teams (Petites, Juniors, Preteens, Teens & Seniors) ages 7 and up. Students are placed on teams by not only age, but ability as well. All students will take stretch/jumps and turns, contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop classes weekly. The teams will perform full group numbers in 3 local competitions held on Long Island during the months of March, April and May. In addition, they will attend Nationals every other year. Small group routines, as well as solos/duos/trios may become available to selected students (additional fees may apply).
